R828's FOUNDER - JENNY's STORY
Jenny Jang, since childhood, was always conscious of the freckles that were spread across her face, comparing herself to the Korean beauty standard of milky white, clear skin. She had made it her mission to correct the things that made her self-conscious with brightening skincare products, frequent facials, and even resorting to laser treatments, like IPL.
She found that other skincare products were not giving her the results that she wished for and laser treatments consequently gave her sensitive skin. Not finding the solution with the products on the market, it prompted her to make one her own. Using her 10 years of experience in the Korean Cosmetic Industry she came together with Kairos, the lab, to make a new product that would garner results.
The formulation was made in 2020 in a collaborative effort with Kairos working with estheticians and dermatologists researching ingredients and using their advanced technology to create R828. She found that she was able to put all of the ingredients that were fundamental into two products: a serum and a cream. After testing it thoroughly and seeing the results that she had always wanted, she wanted to share her creation with the world. GALACTOMYCES FERMENT FILTRATE
A natural byproduct of the sake fermentation process is a popular ingredient in Korean and Japanese skincare. The fermentation process breaks nutrients down to their simplest forms and is more readily absorbed into the skin. Rich in amino acids and antioxidants, our main ingredient is packed with nutrients that will give your skin a healthy glow.
Significantly reduce the size of enlarged pores as well as blackheads. Secondly, it helps the skin to brighten up tired and dull-looking skin. GFF helps to nourish and revitalize the skin, while reducing signs of aging. It also helps to deeply moisturize the skin, which is important if you have dry and tired skin. This will help to bring back the skin’s natural glow. Studies have also revealed that GFF improves acne by almost 10%.
GLUTATHIONE
Considered a tripeptide consisting of cyteine, glutamic acid, and glycine. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant (100x more powerful than Vitamin C) that helps even skin tone and provides that healthy, glossy glow.
VITAMIN C
A powerful antioxidant known for evening out skin tone, boosting collagen production, and neutralizing free radicals.
HYDROLYZED COLLAGEN
Helps with skin elasticity and strength, promoting the prevention of fine lines and wrinkles.
NIACINAMIDE
A soothing antioxidant with properties that can enhance skin tone, clarity, and texture.
CENTELLA ASIATICA
An ingredient full of antioxidants and amino acids, this ingredient will soothe compromised skin and is an excellent hydrator. (Can also be known as cica is Korean skincare).
